I'm running for the Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners because I want to invest in people.
A healthy, thriving community needs excellent, safe schools, first-class mental health services, green spaces, and affordable housing for all, including our teachers, firefighters, and other public servants.
My goal is to make a difference. If we invest in people, we are investing in our future.

Equitable Schools
I want to create safe, equitable schools with uniform access to school materials, career programs, arts programs, counselors, teaching assistants, and advanced placement classes.
Housing
I want to work hand-in-hand with Charlotte city officials, developers, and civic leaders to find a solution to the problem. In addition, I want to make sure people aren’t forced out of their homes and that homeownership is a dream everyone can attain.
Parks and Recreation
I am committed to advocating on behalf of all our neighborhoods. I promise to work with Park and Recreation leaders to expand our green spaces and revitalize parks that have been neglected for far too long.
Mental Health
Mental health is just as important as physical health. Children everywhere need great access to counselors. Plus, all programs and resources in the mental health system should be readily available to everyone, regardless of income level.
Safe Neighborhoods
I am committed to working with our local and state leaders to develop a plan to address the alarming problem of youth violence in our community. It is imperative that our children always feel safe and secure in their schools and neighborhoods.
Navigating COVID-19
We all know someone who is dealing with the effects of COVID19. From our new work realities, social changes, and our children's lives turned upside down, we have all had to learn new ways to live. Please remember to wear your mask, wash your hands frequently, and wait six feet away from those near you. It is important that we all work together to eliminate COVID 19 from our lives.
